Plans can change. We understand.
Once you confirm your expedition with Beyond Borders, we begin making advance arrangements for your journey, including accommodation bookings, Inner Line Permit (ILP) preparation and other trip-related arrangements.
Because some of these arrangements and costs are committed in advance, cancellations are subject to the following policy.

Cancellation Before the Tour
You can cancel your booking up to 7 days before the scheduled tour start date.
If you cancel within this period:
10% of the total package price will be retained as a cancellation charge.
The remaining amount from the advance payment you have already made will be refunded.
Example
If your total package price is ₹50,000 and you have paid an advance of ₹20,000:
- Package price: ₹50,000
- Cancellation charge: 10% of package price = ₹5,000
- Advance paid: ₹20,000
- Refund: ₹15,000
This means the cancellation charge is calculated based on the total package price, not the amount of advance paid.
Cancellation Within 7 Days
Cancellations made less than 7 days before the scheduled tour date are non-refundable.

Why Do We Charge a Cancellation Fee?
Your booking triggers preparations well before the expedition begins. Accommodation may be reserved, ILP arrangements may be initiated and other resources may be committed specifically for your trip.
The 10% cancellation charge helps Beyond Borders cover a portion of these advance commitments while allowing you to receive the rest of the advance you have already paid when you cancel within the permitted period.

Refunds
For eligible cancellations, the refundable amount will be calculated as:
Advance Paid − 10% of Total Package Price = Refund Amount
Refunds will be processed to the original payment method wherever possible.

We recommend confirming your travel plans before making a booking. If your plans change, please contact the Beyond Borders team as early as possible and provide your booking details.
